The Physiotherapy Foundation of Canada and the Quebec Rehabilitation Research Network have made a grant to researchers at the Université de Montréal and the Center for Interdisciplinary Research in Rehabilitation of Greater Montreal to study the effects of Kickstart in stroke survivors. The Kickstart Walking System, developed by Cadence Biomedical, is an orthotic device that assists patients with weakened muscles without the use of powered mechanics.
