Our Speaker

Dashaé Smallwood, PT, DPT, is an early intervention pediatric physical therapist, seeing patients from ages newborn to 3 in their natural environment (their home or day care). Her special interests include infant development, congenital heart defects, medically complex children, NICU PT, mentorship, and increasing the presence of URM within the physical therapy profession. She received a Bachelor of Science in kinesiology, with a concentration in sports medicine, from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and a doctor of physical therapy degree from Duke University. She created a blog titled “The Curly Clinician.”
