Quick and easy tips for workplace wellness.

When it comes to wellness, we often set our sights on the complex—the detailed, the high-level components—rather than the basic. We spend time determining our target heart rate for a run, but we don't take an extra lap around the block. Or, we calculate the macronutrients and calories in a particular recipe, but we don't consistently eat healthily throughout the week.

That isn't to say there's not a time and a place for deeper dives into how to best to achieve and maintain fitness and wellness. Still, when it comes to the workplace, it's smart to step back—for our own sake, that of our team, and, ultimately, for the patients and clients who benefit from our good health—and seek the low-hanging fruit in our daily environment that can nourish our wellness efforts.
