I fell in love with APTA the moment that I realized I did not have to be a practicing clinician to enhance my professionalism or contribute innovation to the profession.

There’s more to being a physical therapist than mastery of lab values, assessments, and mobility techniques.

The nurturing I received during matriculation encouraged involvement in a professional organization. Not just as a resume filler, but truly as a one-of-a-kind experience outside the confines of the graduate school classroom.

From my very first National Student Conclave in Louisville, Kentucky, to the many conferences that followed, I awkwardly explored the exhibit hall, stumbled upon random but informative sessions, and met students from programs across the nation.
