Like all great ideas, the Gamecock Challenge came to me at 3 a.m.

As a graduate assistant in the University of South Carolina's small-but-excellent DPT program, one of my roles is to find service projects for our students. During my time as a DPT student at UofSC, service was not a requirement, and I was excited when I heard that it would be a mainstay in the program going forward.

I consulted Google for inspiration and found out about Global Physical Therapy Day of Service, a day in which the physical therapy community came together for one day and for one purpose: to serve.
