A new study published in PTJ: Physical Therapy & Rehabilitation Journal shows earlier physical therapy after mild traumatic brain injury, or mTBI, can improve outcomes of patients with concussion. Those who received physical therapy earlier following injury — about five weeks sooner than the second group in the trial of 203 adults — reported less dizziness, had quicker improvement of symptoms, and regained balance control faster.
