Advocacy is powerful — but only when someone's listening to what you have to say. That's where APTA's PT-PAC comes in, and why this year's APTA Flash Action Strategy is so important.

The focus of this year's student-led, two-day event, to be held Sept. 15 and 16, is on strengthening support for APTA's political action committee, particularly among PT and PTA students. PT-PAC is the profession's most effective tool in building relationships with lawmakers and nurturing legislative champions for physical therapy, and it was listed among the top 10 professional association PACs in terms of candidate contributions.

But the high-energy advocacy effort isn't restricted to students — it's open to everyone. Join us for a pre-event virtual pep rally on Sept. 14 at 8 p.m. ET, hosted by Jimmy McKay, PT, DPT, host of the "PT Pintcast" podcast series. Then get ready to make contacts over the next two days to help the PT-PAC remain strong.

Still not sure what a "flash action" is all about? Visit APTA's Flash Action Strategy webpage for a general overview, then check out "How Does the Flash Action Strategy Work" for information in how to participate. For a quick take on the importance of PT-PAC, read these five things you need to know.
