There's a story behind every act of community service. What's yours?
The physical therapy profession is all about making a difference in the lives of others, not only in the clinic, but in the places where people live and work. PTs, PTAs, and students don't just understand the importance of community service; it's an idea they wholeheartedly embrace, applying the same energy and commitment they bring to the profession to their volunteer work.
In preparation for National Physical Therapy Month in October, APTA wants to collect stories of how you leveraged your background as a PT, PTA, or physical therapy student to serve the community. We want to know what you did, and how your volunteer experience impacted your personal and professional life. Selected submissions will be featured throughout October on the APTA webpage, on our social media channels, and in all-member and select Friday Focus email blasts.
Your submission can be as long or short as you want, and we've even provided some questions to help guide you. Deadline to submit is Aug. 15. To find out more, visit the volunteer opportunity listing at APTA Engage.
