Femoroacetabular Impingement: Nonsurgical Management

Femoroacetabular impingement (FAI) is a major cause of hip dysfunction in young adults (1, 2, 3) and is a proposed risk factor for hip osteoarthritis (OA). (4, 5, 6) Femoroacetabular impingement is caused by the premature abutment of the femoral neck and acetabulum during hip flexion activities, resulting in damage to the acetabular labrum and articular cartilage.
