Total hip arthroplasty (THA) to improve hip joint stability, mobility, locomotion, and quality of life is considered one of the most successful surgical procedures. (1) Improvements in implant design and surgical technique are changing the profile of patients who are candidates for THA, and require adaptation of rehabilitation techniques to maximize functional outcomes for patients. Currently, there are no clinical practice guidelines for THA. (2, 3)
