Overview
Lower extremity peripheral artery disease is a common cardiovascular disease that is associated with significant morbidity, mortality and quality of life impairment. This collaborative guideline is an update of the 2016 guideline and provides new evidence to guide clinicians. Recommendation # 6 specifically addresses structured exercise as a core component of care for patients with peripheral arterial disease.
