Overview
This CPG, maintained by Obesity Canada in collaboration with the Canadian Association for Bariatric Surgeons and Physicians, is presented in the form of a website and updated as new evidence arises. This guideline provides evidence-based and consensus recommendations to help health care professionals support adults living with obesity. Additionally, it provides key messages for people living with obesity and health care policy makers.
Of the many topics addressed, the following sections may be of interest to physical therapists: reducing weight bias in obesity management, practice and policy, enabling participation in activities of daily living for people living with obesity, and physical activity in obesity management.
