Programs & Events

• APTA Assocation Leadership Scholars Program: This program is building a cadre of future leaders at the component and national levels and supports APTA's quest for a diverse and prepared leadership pool.
• APTA Fellowship in Higher Education Leadership : This year-long fellowship is designed to help educators improve their leadership skills to facilitate change, think strategically, and engage in public discourse to advance the physical therapy profession.
• LAMP Leadership Institute Certificate Program: In this three-step program, you’ll focus on your individual development, learn the tools you need to become a dynamic and influential leader, and deepen your understanding of the skills required for effective leadership. Whether you are developing a career or are an experienced health care manager, you’ll find this course powerful and game-changing. This is a two-day, in-person weekend course.
• LAMP School of Management Certification Program: This program provides therapist-focused management training, executive education, tools, certification and credentials to prepare therapists for successful health care leadership. Complete both Management Essentials and Advanced Management Concepts courses and then take the exam to earn your Board Certified Health Care Executive credential. Offered virtually.
• ACAPT Leadership Academy: The American Council of Academic Physical Therapy (ACAPT) offers affordable, accessible leadership training and resources for all stakeholders in the physical therapy academy.
• RM Barney Poole Leadership Academy: The Georgia Chapter offers this 1.5 day program that offers skills for PTs, PTAs and students to grow personally and professionally. Attendees will understand how change and innovation requires leadership.
