Please join us for a special celebration and unveiling of the United States Postal Services' new "Thank You Healthcare Community" Forever Stamp, created in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic to recognize the health care community and their dedication to protecting the health, safety, and well-being of the American public.
The event, on the APTA Centennial Center rooftop terrace, will feature special guest speakers to talk about the stamp design and experiences in health care during the pandemic, followed by a reception with refreshments and music. The USPS will be on-site to sell the new stamp, and a specially designed poster will be available, complimentary, for all attendees. Bryan Duefrene, the art director and stamp designer, will be available to sign posters and stamps.
Registration
The event is free, and registration is required. All guests must register by Oct. 10.
About the Stamp
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, the USPS will recognize the health care community, including physical therapists and physical therapist assistants, for their dedication to protecting our health, safety, and well-being, often at great personal risk.
The stamp artwork consists of health-related icons spelling out the stacked words "thank you" against a pristine white background. Running across the lower right edge of the stamp are the words "Healthcare" in gray and "Community" in surgical green.
The "Thank You Healthcare Community" stamp will be issued in panes of 20. As a Forever Stamp, it will always be equal in value to the current First-Class Mail one‑ounce price.
