Bundled Payments for Care Improvement Advanced is a voluntary model developed by CMS to test bundled payments for 90-day clinical episodes of care related to 35 clinical episodes (31 inpatient and 4 outpatient). The model began October 1, 2018 and will run through December 31, 2023. BPCI Advanced qualifies as an Advanced APM under the Medicare Quality Payment Program.
